Re: Disable Park?

At this time, there is no way to block the park button from working. The parks can be blocked in the dial plan but I just tested that and while it prevents me from picking up parked calls, and transferring to park by dialing *700, I can still hit the park button itself. Perhaps you could block park ...

Re: Our phone server is under attack....

Simple answer as to how they know its there when in stealth mode is that they are not targeting Allworx specifically and they are not pinging it. Stealth mode only blocks ICMP. They send sip messages to the Allworx which it will respond to unless you disable SIP under network config, which if you us...

Re: Ring over?

Well, typically you would never daisy chain phones to each other like that. Generally its done in the extension programming on the Allworx to set the phones extension to ring both phones or ring one first and then ring the other if the first is not answered.

Re: Our phone server is under attack....

1) Do not be worried. Extremely common on VOIP systems that have public IP's on them. 2) I would not change the IP. Changing IP's is never a good solution because they will eventually find you on a new IP anyways. 3) Stealth is OK, it just prevents the Allworx from responding to ICMP/Pings, but that...

Re: Backups

Having the license does indeed mean you can download/update the software as long as its active. When it runs out then you can still upgrade, but only in the main revision, meaning you can go from say 8.1.3 to 8.1.20 but not to 8.2.10.

Re: Backups

As far as backups goes, you have to backup to their software, called Office Safe. You can only get it from an Allworx partner/certified tech, but the software is free. For the updates, go to feature keys and see if its licensed for software updates. As long as the box can make it to the internet, th...

Re: Worth upgrading to the newer Connect series servers?

Dont know. I know the 24X is not supported past 8.0 I believe, and we stopped selling the 6X12 a while ago, but as far as the rest of the X series, to my knowledge, they are still fully supported, and no end in sight. We work closely with their support team, so we are normally among the first to fin...

Re: Directory not listed with auto attendant

Under Users, the red dot after their name indicates they have not recorded their name. Without a recorded name, there is nothing to play when you choose #1 for dial by name. Considering the OP was from May 2014, there was no red dot under users. That is a much newer feature that would not have exis...

Re: Phones are not indicating new message arrived

You can bulk delete for all if you go to users as well. If there are emails then that usually means that there is voice mail to email setup somewhere and its bouncing back.

Re: New IP for a new ISP configuration issues

I think we need some more information on this, such as what voice service are you using? If its VOIP, is it to a DNS name so it does not matter what ISP, or is it a private IP which is only reachable over the old ISP, meaning the new one it will not work with as is? Also, what specifically do you me...
