Re: Outgrowing Allworx--Replacements?
It would take a bit of work, but you could run some sort of Asterisk free pbx version as a VM easily enough.

Re: login to 6x without known IP
If it is in safemode then it can only be 192.168.2.254 if you are plugged directly into their LAN port. It will do DHCP on that network as well. So if you are plugged directly into it then it is either not in safemode or a PC issue or the server is shot.

Re: Allworx Reach Help
being OWA, sounds like something may be missing static route wise. From the WiFi network, try logging into the Allworx and then go to events log and see what IP it shows you connected from, as often even with no route from the data to voice network, if different subnets, it may leave the WAN interfa...

Re: Allworx phone - provisioning VLAN for LAN and COMPUTER port
This is actually not an unusual setup but the preferred setup for VOIP systems and is deployed this way by most large companies that run managed VOIP services. The VLAN config is actually on the phones themselves. So on the phones themselves you would set them to be phone vlan 20 and then either lea...

Re: Paging not working on remote phone
This cannot be done with remote phones, because of the way multicast traffic works. Paging from those phones work because that is unicast from the phone to the PBX but from the PBX is sends the traffic out as a broadcast, which broadcast traffic does not work over the public internet. Even if they w...

Re: Migrating feature keys
It depends on the reason of the failure. If the unit failed and you have warranty on it then just process an RMA with Allworx and they will transfer the keys to the replacement unit. If the unit was out of Warranty then Allworx can argue that a new PBX would need to be purchased and as keys are tied...

Re: Recording calls without a PC
That would typically be done using a call record appliance such as SIP Print and then using a port mirroring feature in the PoE switch mirroring that port traffic to the recorder. As an alternate, Interact can be used as well if you have 2 VM's that you install Interact on. The PC does not have to d...
