Re: LAN Registration Error
It's hard to know if that service log event is actually related to the problem you describe, as it's not a very detailed event. Does that message always show up around that time in the morning, or is it more random? Do you use a flat layer 2 network, where all the switches are in the same subnet? If...

Re: Remote Phones Choppy
Denise, We used a Comcast Business, and they are notoriously problematic for VOIP. Your problem is likely not caused by lack of bandwidth, but rather latency or packet loss on the Comcast network. You could try to force the remote phones to use G.729 compression which would use less bandwidth, but l...

Peering battles between Congent affecting VOIP?
Hi, I've been seeing more issues with packet loss during the middle of the day affecting choppy calls and dropped calls. We currently use Comcast, and are thinking about upgrading to Data-T1/Ethernet over copper with an SLA to help with these quality issues. Reading more online I notice how there ar...

Re: All inbound calls have no audio suddenly on SIP
I'm guessing your Allworx is acting as a firewall, and you don't have another thirdparty between your allworx and the WAN? If so you might want to go to maintenance > tools and do a WAN interface packet capture while reproducing the problem. You can download wireshark for free to analyze the packets...

Re: forward voicemail to email
Check with Bluehost.com what their SMTP server is and if it requires authentication. You probably need to update this under Servers>Email

Re: Outside Lines for Extensions
Under phone system > Outside lines, you should see your Direct Inward Dial Blocks and the number will point to a Direct Inward Dial Routing Plan. Scroll down and you will see the routing plan. Click on that and you will see which extension it's pointed to.

Use of Wireless bridge with Allworx Site-to-Site
Hi, I'm curious if any of you have multiple sites for your Allworx (ie. primary and branch site)....and are connecting the two sites via a wireless bridge. Currently we use to high speed internet connections dedicated to each Allworx site so they can do site-to-site communication. For the most part ...

Re: Allworx 9212 will not register
Check network settings are correct on the 9212? Has it been assigned correct network info via dhcp? Try plugging in the phone directly on the same switch as the Allworx phone pbx, see if it boots? You could also do a network capture on the LAN of the Allworx PBX via the pbx web maintenance config, s...

Re: New to Allworx, Questions
1. I'm not a network expert, but I believe for VLAN you need managed layer 3 switches throughout your network, likely of the same brand. I believe the way it works is you create a VLAN on the managed switches, then select which ports are on that VLAN. Next you plug the Ethernet lines to those partic...
