Re: 7.4.12.5 Release notes
Allworx seems to be oddly and pointlessly secretive about most things. Since they now charge for firmware subscription, you would think they would want to post release notes to encourage sales for their resellers as well as offer customers solid information.

Re: Email Notifications in Voicemail
We previously got this message when we were not retrieving emails. We do that now in our google accounts so that we have a record of the voicemails should we need it. It is simplest to just pull or push the emails off the allworx. If you don't want to do that you might be able to turn off POP3 Mail ...

Re: Grandstream GXP2xxx series (GXP2124 in this case)
The GXP2124 has full duplex speakerphone, higher quality handset, 24 pfk/blfs and costs about 7/16 of an Allworx 9224 which has a terrible speakerphone. The 9212 speakerphone is also terrible, so much so that we have some clearone chat50s hooked up on selected phones. The 9204 phone is supposed to b...

Grandstream GXP2xxx series (GXP2124 in this case)
I need to install several additional phones on my 6x system and want the 24 blf fields that the 9224 has but don't like the 9224 price, speakerphone or general quality otherwise. The Grandstream GXP2124 seems to be a good solution so I picked one up. I set it up and it registers. I can make outbound...

Re: Voice mail not being emailed
I gave up years ago on my 6x sending and have gmail pull via pop3 for each user gmail account. It has worked well for years now in this configuration.

Redundancy with SIP trunks and srv record on Allworx 6x
We have an allworx 6x and a router with multiple failover options because our local primary connection is junk (thanks comcast). We've tried various options for sip trunks but have stayed with bandwidth.com as our primary for years. The downside is that bandwidth.com uses ip based authentication. To...

Re: Day and Night Mode
Just create menu shortcuts 1 - x for day mode and announce them in that message. Then create menu shortcuts x+# - y for night mode and announce them in that message. In night mode, you could also, automatically re-route to a second aa to acheive specific lockouts.

Re: Phone Administration Password
When it is set to the factory defaults, it is allworx spelled out -> 2559679. We went through the same issue when a remote 9212 decided it wanted to factory default itself and none of our passwords worked. We tried all kinds of combinations until we got that information from our rep. It seems obviou...
