No inbound our outbound voice on outbound calls

Post by JRIDENER »

I have the Allworx 6x12 system with 1 server, 1 netgear switch and 6 phones. I am able to make inbound and outbound calls, however there is no voice transmission for Outbound calls(both ways). An inbound calls works as it should though. If i dial internally, the sound is fine as well.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I get voice when calling internally but no voice from/to calling outside lines. I have my phone on the DMZ and set up to work outside the network.
I opened the following ports but with no luck:

allworx 2088 2088 192.168.1.111 TCP/UDP
allworx 8081 8081 192.168.1.111 TCP/UDP
allworx 5060 5060 192.168.1.111 TCP/UDP
allworx 16001:16010 16001:16010 192.168.1.111 TCP/UDP
allworx 15000:15511 15000:15511 192.168.1.111 TCP/UDP

JR:

It sounds like your RTP traffic isn't making it back out of the network gateway and/or pbx. Make sure you're gateway/router is not using any SIP ALG or other types of "mangling" facility. If so, turn this off for a test.

If you're in LAN HOST mode behind a firewall and you're routing from a different subnet, make sure you have a trusted route in the Allworx that is a valid path back to the subnet the voip traffic is sourced from.

Handset-to-handset (internally) is working because there is no routing/NATing happening between the two endpoints. When internal calls are initiated, the PBX sets up the call but once the far end answers, all subsequent traffic is directly between handsets and does not go through the PBX at that point. Internal to external calls and vise-versa are a bit different and will be NATed/routed.

If all else fails, run packet captures and find out where the audio stream is being dropped between the network gateway and handset during the outbound (external) calls.
