Block incoming phone numbers

I've looked through all of the menus as well as the System Admin guide and can't seem to find anything for this. Is there a way to block incoming nuisance calls from specific numbers? I've got a user who's getting up to 12 calls a day from a number they don't know, and the caller doesn't seem to leave any messages, or even stay on the line when they answer.

You can control this on a per Extension basis.
Go to the users Extension that is having the problem. Add new Call Route.
You will be presented with the option of putting in your problem number and can set it to just hang up if calls are received from it.

If you just have the system hang up, the automatic dialers will just call again later.

We did the extension method one step further.

I found a recording of the phone message that plays the SIT tone "Boop-beep-bip! The number you have dialed has been disconnected..."
Set up the offending number to go to an autoattendant that plays that message as a greeting, plays it twice, and then hangs up.

You will know if one of the numbers you entered calls in, because instead of a regular ringtone, you will only hear a "click" and it is automatically transferred to the autoattendant.

So the theory is that the automatic dialer will hear that SIT tone sequence and recognize it as a bad number, and delete it from their list.

(This is similar to the old "telezapper" device, but more elegant)

Seems to be working, because after the first few months of getting repeat calls that automatically go to the autoattendant, we haven't been getting any repeat offender calls, at least not from the same number..
