SOLVED: The default aastra.cfg file that I downloaded had the sip registration period set too low (I think it was something like 30 seconds). As soon as I increased this value the phone paired with no issues.

Ryan, I don't have experience specifically with setting up an Allworx system with that SonicWall, but I do have extensive experience with the NSA 220 firewall and if you haven't already purchased one I would caution against it! I'm pretty good about keeping the box updated. It's currently running 7.7.6.4 which was released 2014-09-21.
