Multisite will not connect.

Post by ejalkh »

I can ping directly out of my MPLS circuits from Site A to Site B. Traffic seems to be passing fine, however I receive the below error code on Site B when trying to rejoin the Multisite. When testing from either site to the controller or branch sites IP addresses, traffic passes fine.

Error (3) 05/03/2018 11:13:35am tMsmT0003: MSM_wtp: RPC to join with controller 10.x.x.2 failed.
Error (3) 05/03/2018 11:13:36am tMsmT0003: MSM_wtp: RPC to join with controller 10.x.x.2 failed.

Only thing that changed is we swapped out our layer 3 switch at Site B that is behind the MPLS router. The previous switch was merely a handoff to the MPLS router and various interfaces for other devices. We mirrored this setup. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Can both Allworx servers directly ping each other? What version are they both on?

Site A version - 8.2.3.9
Site B version - 8.0.8.6

Mpls interface to Mpls interface pings fine.
I don't have them talking via public unless this is needed.

That is the issue. Both sites need to be on the same version (and should be on the same minor version, meaning don't have one on 8.2.3.9 and another on 8.2.10.6). Update both sites to the latest 8.2 or 8.3 and that should fix it.
